Gephi 0.8.2

Using Gephi for Analysing networks

Gephi 0.8.2 is a tool for analysing a network. We need to analyse networks for our project and the reason why we do this is because:

1)  We need to find out who the most important person or post is in a network2) If there's a hidden community structure, underlining pattern within the network

Today we used Gephi to analyse a facebook group of our choice. The group had to be a public group because we could not get data from closed groups. I thought the tool was easy to use with all the functions such as "modularity" functions and others to help answer the above questions.

This is an image from Gephi representing each post. Each dot represents a post and the bigger dots represent the most followed (viral) post.  By analysing them using the various tools on Gephi I can find out the post that has the most followers, and how many communities that each person creating the post is connected to.
